singling out kenwood might be a little unfair, they just happen to be the only one i have actual experience with, so they're the only one i can actuaily say something about. While you might be right about making faulty equipment being in their best interests, I think it'd be pretty anal to say they do it on purpose. I dont think theirs any way a established company would risk their reputation on something like this. Also your stereo is probabily played louder, more often, and pushes more power than mine, but we are comparing apples and oranges with this hu, and amp thing anyway.
